Level 5 Spring Registration

Hard as it may be to believe, registration for your Spring English and math courses will open this Tuesday, October 25, 2022. This is your last registration for AC! Go to the AC website, https://www.academicchallengetheflyingcow.com/level-5-spring-registration to access the registration form and record your class choices for Spring 2023. Registration is on a first-come first-serve basis and some sections are limited, so register early to get the class and section you want! All DTCC Level 5 classes will begin the week of January 9th. You will notice you have the option to take courses outside English and math giving you the opportunity to start fulfilling course requirements you may see when you enter college full time next year. Students from Cape, Delmar, and Woodbridge should note that if they choose to take one of the other electives, they must register for an English or math class at their home school to finish graduation requirements. Students from all other districts have completed graduation requirements for English or math with their Fall courses and may select any course. Students enrolled in English have the following course choices: Count as English courses: • COM 246 Intro to Film • ENG 129 Creative Writing Count as Electives: • ECO 111 Macroeconomics • HIS 111 US History: Pre-Civil War • HIS 112 US History: Post-Civil War See the Spring 2022 Level 5 English Courses document for course descriptions, instructors, and meeting specifics. Students enrolled in math have the following course choices: Count as Math courses: • MAT 251 Finite Math •MAT 253 Discrete Math • PHY 281 201 Physics I with Calculus - *Please note that PHY 281 only has 10 available seats for AC students. Count as Electives: • ECO 111 Macroeconomics • BIO 140 General Biology See the Spring 2022 Level 5 Math Courses document for course descriptions, instructors, and meeting specifics. Pay careful attention to the format of the class as listed on the registration form. All classes meet in person at least once a week, except MAT 253 Discrete Math which is an online only course. We are only allowing AC students to take MAT 253 Discrete Math by permission. If you would like to take Discrete Math, select it on the form, and then send me an email explaining why you want to take it and how you can be successful in it given that it will be online with all of the work being managed independently.

If you are interested in taking another Del Tech course that is not usually offered to AC students, please let me know. You can view the Del Tech Course Catalog under the Student Information tab in MyDTCC.

I am also attaching to you have the course titles and numbers for filling out college applications.

Please contact me if you have any questions or need any help.
